We have many durable materials, including our DuraBlack. This material is a high-quality, laser-markable aluminum with many beneficial characteristics. Due to DuraBlack’s impressive resistance to chemicals, water, UV rays, abrasion, and fire – it is a strong and reliable option for harsh operating environments. This product also WILL NOT FADE!
DuraBlack is also a great application that can withstand operation in sweltering heat. This material can reliably operate in 700°F for as long as eight hours – the only material we provide with a higher temperature stability is stainless steel at 1500°F! With many enduring qualities, DuraBlack has met various government, industrial, and military specifications including MIL-STD 130N, A-A-50271 (≈MIL-P-514D) and MIL-STD-15024G, Type L.
There’s not much you can’t do with DuraBlack. It has been used as serial number data plates to be mounted on the outside of heavy equipment, QR codes for multiple outdoor purposes, nameplates and data plates for OEMs and to produce durable outdoor signage and labeling.
Here at Bauman, we have many sign and label mounting techniques for DuraBlack including 3M high-performance adhesives, rivets, or theft-deterrent security screws.
