The picture you are seeing is from a sign we helped make for the Veterans Memorial on the top of Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain, Michigan several years ago.
While some may say the large ski jump hill and structure is the most impressive thing that gets one's attention while there, some others say it pales in comparison to the hundreds of names displayed across the memorial of area service members of the armed forces whose names will not be forgotten. The many headstones and hundreds of bricks identifying the service members of the various wars is truly impressive, yet emotional. A very different emotion than watching the annual Ski Jumps that happen every February here. For some it's understandably very personal. For others it's educational. Thus, the purpose of the Memorial.
On this Veteran's Day, we here at Bauman Engraving & Signs honor our area veterans, and all veterans, and say, "Thank you". Thank you for helping all of us in this great country to be able to do what we do every day.
